The Speed Demon: Jusuel Jimenez Pilarca
He likes to play wearing a yellow shirt, he’s fast, and he’s a true warrior, never giving up. Today, we introduce Jusuel Jimenez Pilarca.
Could you tell us more about yourself? What are your hobbies and interests aside from football?
I am Jusuel Jimenez Pilarca, 27 years old, originally from Lopez, Quezon. I take pride in being one of the distinguished footballers from Quezon. Apart from playing, I am actively engaged as a Youth Football Coach and Fitness Instructor here in the Philippines. Besides football, I enjoy watching movies or sports analysis, listening to music to help me stay calm amidst my various responsibilities, and indulging in video gaming.
What are your achievements, and what motivated you to join Manila Montet FC?
My football journey started in grade 6, at the age of 13. I’ve participated in various competitions such as the Regional Sports Competition (STCAA – Southern Tagalog Calabarzon Athletic Association) and the Palarong Pambansa in 2013. Additionally, I spent five years playing for the Adamson University Football Team in the UAAP (University Athletic Association of the Philippines). Joining Manila Montet FC fulfills a long-standing dream of mine to play professionally. Despite playing football for fifteen years, there was always a sense of something missing until I had the opportunity to play in a professional league. Therefore, I sought out a team or club competing in the PFL (Philippines Football League). Manila Montet FC provided ample opportunities for me to showcase my talents as a football player. Moreover, they value and appreciate the efforts of every player, making each individual feel important.
What are your thoughts on an all-Filipino squad?
An all-Filipino team squad can serve as an excellent representation of Filipino talent and unity. It has the potential to showcase the diverse skills and capabilities of Filipinos working together towards a shared goal, thereby fostering a deep sense of national pride.
