With 42% of the votes out of a total of 600 (and counting), Mark Jones, the goalkeeper, has been easily elected as the Man of the Match for Manila Montet FC.
Mark Jones delivered a stellar performance with numerous saves.
Some might argue that having a goalkeeper named as the Man of the Match isn’t always a positive sign for a team, as it suggests heavy reliance on defensive efforts. This also indicates that the team faced significant pressure from the opposing side, leading the goalkeeper to make crucial saves to maintain the scoreline or prevent goals.
As a completely new club with inexperienced players, we expected to face challenges not only in our first game but in others as well. However, we aspire to improve over time through learning. Although the process may take time, we are prepared for the challenge. Every game serves as a valuable learning experience.
